NearbyFlights is a free personal project by Cristian Rodriguez with no economic activity. This website introduces the Garmin app, explains its features and displays a recreational leaderboard. No purchases, paid subscriptions or commercial transactions take place on this website.

Information and recreation
Aircraft information, routes and distances may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or unavailable. A route associated with a callsign may not match the current flight. Estimated proximity does not guarantee that you can see an aircraft or that you observed it.
NearbyFlights is not a tool for air navigation, traffic control, emergencies or safety decisions. Use the service with attention to your surroundings and without interfering with aircraft operations or restricted areas.
The leaderboard
The leaderboard is in testing. Its rules are explained in the website's scoring section. Points are earned by opening an aircraft's detail in a compatible app version and passing the service's checks. Viewing the watch radar or list, or visiting this website, does not award points.
The ranking is recreational and offers no prizes, payments or economic rights. Connection, coverage or validation failures may prevent a sighting from being recorded. Error corrections and record reviews may change positions or scores.
Participation is managed through the app settings. It may be enabled by default in compatible versions and can be turned off to stop appearing in the ranking. Hiding a profile and erasing its data are different actions; the privacy policy explains how to request erasure.
Responsible use and moderation
Use an alias that does not impersonate someone or contain another person's private data, threats or unlawful content. Do not manipulate locations or records to alter the leaderboard, attempt to access other users' credentials or make requests that impair service availability.
The controller may investigate incidents, correct data and limit or hide profiles where there are indications of abuse or breaches of these terms. You can email to request a review and explain your case. These measures do not limit your data protection rights.
Content and links
Product names, trademarks, images and aviation data belong to their respective owners and may be subject to their own terms. Their availability on this website does not grant a general licence to reuse them.
Links to other websites provide further information or access to related features. Their contents and terms may change. NearbyFlights is an independent project and does not represent Garmin or the owners of the aviation data.
Availability and changes
The project is maintained personally. Continuous availability and a particular support response time are not guaranteed. Features may change or be suspended for maintenance, faults or an inability to maintain the service.
These terms may be updated to reflect changes to the project. The date on this page identifies the published version. Material changes affecting use of the service or privacy will be communicated through notices on the website or in the app, as appropriate.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits rights granted by applicable law. They do not require you to waive access to competent authorities or courts.
